Originally from Milton Keynes, Surina moved to Northamptonshire with her family after completing a degree in childhood and youth studies at the University of Portsmouth. Having worked in a retail environment as well as in school and nursery settings, Surina developed great interpersonal skills and moved on to become a technical advisor for a Wellingborough business that specialises in credit card terminals. After a while, Surina was keen to take on a fresh challenge, so she joined PDS over two years ago to help strengthen the client services team.
As an account executive, Surina spends time on multiple different tasks, helping to piece together proposals for clients. She especially enjoys tracking down merchandise solutions that delight clients and help to bring their brand to life. Surina said, “My work at PDS is always so varied and no two days are the same. The best thing about PDS is the brilliant team.”
Wild at heart
Surina enjoys the outdoor life and loves engaging with the natural world. Last year, she took a solo break to the Lake District and stayed near Derwentwater near Keswick, successfully scaling Cat Bells fell. She has previously travelled to South Africa where she spent a month as a volunteer in a big cat sanctuary helping to rehabilitate lions and tigers and providing them with a safe place to live. Surina said, “I absolutely loved my time in South Africa, working at the sanctuary was definitely one of the best things I have ever done.”
