Photoshop wizard Simon Byford has worked for PDS for four years having honed his craft at Weatherbys which provides racing services to the British Horseracing Authority. Wellingborough-born Simon trained in graphic designed at college in Worcestershire and the University of Southampton before returning to his home turf.
Simon said, “I am responsible for making corrections to photography and artwork and love the attention to detail that helps to perfect the creative executions of our studio. My expertise in photo manipulation techniques helps to ensure that our clients’ campaigns and materials are delivered to the highest possible quality and accuracy standards. Working at PDS, I have enjoyed learning about the importance of 3D models in showing how concepts will work in practice.”
Going the distance
Simon is a sports and fitness enthusiast who loves to push himself with physical challenges. He plays football with a group of friends who are currently training with Wellingborough-based Old Grammarians ahead of a charity fund-raising fixture. An avid runner, Simon is proud to have completed a 35-mile ultra-marathon around Northamptonshire, and he also enjoys getting out on his mountain bike in his spare time.
Simon takes inspiration from Alex Ferguson’s famous quote about having two ears, two eyes and one mouth so “you can listen and watch twice as much as you talk.”
Simon said, “I am always learning from my colleagues in the studio and love passing on what I have learned to others.”
