Sarah has worked in the print industry since she left school when she first became a typesetter for horse-racing specialists, Weatherbys. She progressed into a supervisory role and managed the production team at the Wellingborough-based business during a long career. Having got to know PDS as a supplier, she was delighted to move into an account executive role to help managing director Nick Shelton as he started to build up the business.
Sarah said, “When I first joined PDS a decade ago, I was there to support the sales team of just two people! They were really welcoming, and we soon developed a great working relationship. My role has evolved over the years as PDS has grown and now I support the relationship managers and make sure that clients’ requirements are always met.”
“I work to ensure that print and consumable items including packaging are in stock for clients, so they always have what they need. I get involved with researching and ordering merchandise, campaign collateral including point of sale, and high-volume print runs for retail clients.
“The best thing about working at PDS is the sense of camaraderie within the team; everyone helps each other, and we have good relationships with our clients too which makes working here a pleasure.”
When she’s not at work, Sarah likes to keep active and enjoys walking, cycling, and spinning. She also loves to travel and has recently swapped European cities for staycations in some fabulous UK spots including Norfolk, the Peak District, Portsmouth, and Bristol.
